Kinship Adoption Coordinator
jenniferd@childrensconnections.org |
Jennifer Deazvedo, BSW, is the Waiting Child Coordinator and Kinship Adoption Coordinator for Children's Connections, Inc. She is very excited about helping families learn about adoptions from the foster care system that don't require being a foster parent. Jennifer hopes to provide families a sense of peace that, with assistance, they are able to locate waiting children who are a perfect match for their family. Jennifer helps conduct internet searches of foster children available for adoption. She will respond to contact from caseworkers about the individual families. She has been with Children's Connections, Inc. since January, 2007 writing adoptive home studies and conducting special projects. Prior to her time at Children's Connections, Inc., she had five years experience matching children and families through the foster care system. Bringing families together through adoption is very rewarding." As the Kinship Adoption Coordinator, Jennifer hopes to ease the stress of relative adoption for families. Jennifer can answer questions and provide referrals to families hoping to complete adoptions of relatives. Kinship adoption includes step-parents, and relative and grandparent adoptions.
